13 million followers on YouTube, 17 million on Twitch – Ibai Llanos is one of Spain’s biggest streamers and was named one of the most influential Spaniards in the world by Forbes magazine in 2021. In the same year, the 30-year-old began hosting the event series ‘La Velada del Año’, a highly successful annual amateur boxing event with internet streamers and other celebrities that takes place in the country’s largest sports stadiums. Even the announcement of the participants in the historic Teatre Victoria in Barcelona became a major event. We spoke to lighting designer and cinematographer Toni Llobet about the staging and his use of Cameo lights. Toni, please tell us something about how you got involved in this project. Toni Llobet: A few years ago, Ibai Llanos’ production team contacted me, shortly after the pandemic. Since then, we have worked together on various projects that are very different from each other, but always with that touch of fun and challenge that makes them special. Ibai has that gift to invent events, programmes and shows with very unique formats. In this case they called me to be in charge of the lighting design, the operation of the show, and for 13 million followers on YouTube, 17 million on Twitch – Ibai Llanos is one of... 13 million followers on YouTube, 17 million on Twitch – Ibai Llanos is one of Spain’s biggest... 13 million followers on YouTube, 17 million on Twitch – Ibai Llanos is one of Spain’s biggest streamers and was named one of the most influential Spaniards in the world by Forbes...

Whether it is a theatre stage, concert arena, or museum, the quality of the light projection depends on selecting the right optics. In this second part of our series, we will take a deep dive into the world of tube technologies: what are the advantages and disadvantages of interchangeable tubes compared to zoom tubes? When is a universal zoom the best choice? And how do optical aberrations affect the quality of light? This post is intended for lighting technicians, designers, and operators who want to deepen their knowledge of lens systems and use their spotlights even more effectively to create impressive lighting effects in stage lighting. We will highlight practical application tips and provide valuable decision-making aids for the optimum use of profile spotlights – whether in theatres, city halls, or on large stages. Tube As mentioned in the previous post, a lens tube with an adjustable lens is required to project the imaging plane. This is frequently achieved by sliding a tube, which holds the lens, within a tube holder. It is thus reasonable to assume that the tube can be quickly swapped for others with different focal lengths or beam angles. In other words, an interchangeable tube system, Whether it is a theatre stage, concert arena, or museum, the quality of the light projection... As part of the Integrated Systems Training Days, wholesale partners and installation companies from the DACH region were given a comprehensive insight into the products, solutions and services of Adam Hall Integrated Systems. A particular focus was on the certification programme for the LD Systems QUESTRA design and management platform. Two days full of knowledge, practice and networking The Training Days started with a group lunch in the company’s “Come Together” restaurant. This was followed by a in-depth introduction to the product and application areas of Adam Hall Integrated Systems – followed by specialised product training sessions from LD Systems, Cameo and more. The first day was rounded off with an exclusive Dolby Atmos demo and an impressive light show in the fully equipped auditorium of the Experience Centre. The second day focussed on the QUESTRA® certification programme (Level 1). During an intensive training session, the participants were taught everything they need to know to plan, configure and manage projects as certified QUESTRA users. Light is much more than just brightness – it shapes spaces, directs the gaze of the audience, and creates impressive atmospheres. Profile spotlights in particular play a key role in professional lighting technology, as they facilitate precise lighting design with sharp edges, creative projections, and targeted focussing. Whether in the theatre, on stage, or at live events, their wide range of uses makes them an indispensable tool for lighting designers. In this four-part blog series, we will take a deep dive into the world of profile spotlights. We will explain fundamental optical concepts, present various tube and zoom technologies, demonstrate the creative potential of gobos, shutter blades, and irises and compare moving head and static profilers. Let’s start with the basics: what makes a profile spotlight so special and why it is considered the “scalpel of lighting”? In Part 1, you will learn how optical principles work and how a razor-sharp projection is created. What is a profile spotlight? When we talk about profile spotlights, we automatically think of theatre scenes and perfectly staged lighting. And that’s for good reason, as we will soon find out. A profile spotlight is the “scalpel” among spotlights. After all, creating a “hard edge” Light is much more than just brightness – it shapes spaces, directs the gaze of the... Beats for Love, Let it Roll, Grape, Colours of Ostrava – the last festival season was a resounding success for High Lite Touring from Ostrava in the Czech Republic. The event technology service provider not only hit the road in its home country, but also in neighbouring Slovakia. The Cameo ZENIT W600 LED Outdoor Wash Lights, which have been part of High Lite Touring’s portfolio in 40 versions since 2024, were a constant companion. “The ZENIT W600 is being requested by a growing number of bands and event organizers, which is why we decided to invest in more of them last year,” explains Václav Olšar from High Lite Touring. The wide rental availability of the ZENIT W600 also played a decisive role for the busy company. “We are currently planning a large festival, where around 160 ZENIT W600s will be used for the set and audience lighting.” “The ZENIT W600 is being requested by a growing number of bands and event organizers, which is why we decided to invest in more of them last year.” Václav Olšar, High Lite Touring Beats for Love Festival High Lite Touring also used the RGBW LED wash lights at the 2024 festivals, primarily to Beats for Love, Let it Roll, Grape, Colours of Ostrava – the last festival season was a... The Schlager Café is every Schlager music fan’s dream and a premier culinary experience. Since April 2025, the café in Düsseldorf’s Old Town has united the special joie-de-vivre of Schlager music with first-class cuisine, and also has an integrated event area right next door. Aside from putting on acclaimed live concerts by Schlager stars of the past and present, the Henkel Hall also plays host to talks, corporate events, and much more. The lighting technology set-up, for which Philipp Kleidt from PHK Eventtechnik used plenty of Cameo fixtures on behalf of ProdLive GmbH, was just as versatile as the event programme. We spoke to Maurin Cronenberg (Managing Partner, ProdLive) and Philipp Kleidt (Managing Director, PHK Eventtechnik) about the Schlager Café project. Hello Philipp, hello Maurin, how did you come up with this project? Is there some kind of history behind it? Philipp Kleidt: It happened quite easily in our case: Maurin approached me and asked me if I would like to join the crew and oversee the lighting part at the Schlager Café. Since time was short, we worked directly with Kristof Schlösser to develop the necessary concepts. Despite the tight schedule, we were able to realise everything on time, The Schlager Café is every Schlager music fan’s dream and a premier culinary experience....
